HOUSING
Vital for developing a healthy family
A home is not only a place to sleep or keep your valuables, it gives us identity, it shelters dreams, provides warmth, and it nurtures families. But thousands of families do not have a home per say. They live in cardboard homes, dirt floors, low plastic roofs. Since Hurricane Mitch we have built more than 6,000 homes in Central America. There are many more to come.

Care for those who have never had it
Health Care is either a luxury or just unavailable in some areas of Latin America. If a doctor is available, medications are completely out of reach, especially when some pills are worth more than a weeks salary for some people ($10). Our medical and dental programs include the personal care and attention to patients, medical exams if required, medications, follow up, and proper filing of paperwork for future treatments.

The CDI helps children of all ages (all the way through high school) achieve their goals. We have four areas in which we serve at-risk kids:
This is only the base of what CDI does. We are sensitive to the different cultures of each city where we have a center so that we can better prepare each child for a future there. We also provide help in the following areas:

The CDI helps children of all ages (all the way through high school) achieve their goals. We have four areas in which we serve at-risk kids:
- Nutritional meals/Dietary supplements as needed
- Academic support (tutoring and support for the family with uniforms and school supplies)
- Medical and dental care
- Spiritual guidance
This is only the base of what CDI does. We are sensitive to the different cultures of each city where we have a center so that we can better prepare each child for a future there. We also provide help in the following areas:
- Computer classes
- English as a second language classes
- Carpentry and jewelry making classes as well as lessons in any other area for potential future employment

Day 6 started with a devotional on soul rest. He gives true rest. His yoke is easy, and the burden is light!
